List of benefits that you can find in the Github’s Student Developer Pack in 2022

In this guide, I will show you how to apply for it, apart from listing the apps that I think are the best from this pack, either to use them at the university or give them a try for personal use as they’ll open a lot of work opportunities.
How can I apply for the GitHub Student Pack?
To apply for the Github Student Pack, you must:
- Be currently enrolled in a degree or diploma-granting courses such as a high school, secondary school, college, university, homeschool, or similar educational institution.
- Have a verifiable school-issued email address or upload documents that prove your current student status. You don’t even need a “.edu” account for this requirement!
- Have a GitHub user account. You can create one at the following link.
- Be at least 13 years old.

What benefits do they offer?
GitHub Pro

We already talked about GitHub, and you’ll 100% use it at some point if you are a developer. As a benefit, you can get free GitHub Pro while a student.
They also offer GitHub Pages, which gives us one website per GitHub account and organization; and unlimited project sites for you.
MongoDB Free Credits & Certifications

MongoDB is a document-oriented NoSQL database used for high-volume data storage, and it’s probably one of the most used ones in the industry. I totally recommend it; indeed, it’s the one I usually work with. In this list, I have focused on the applications that I consider most important at a general user level, but depending on your role or what you want to do, others may be more relevant to you. Some examples of other applications that we can find are GitLens, Iconscout, Testmail, Atom, Twilio, Arduino Education, or you can even apply to the Github Campus Experts program! I encourage you to investigate all of them because the truth is that it is one of the best packs that exist at the level of education!
